This was the first time being in the hotel for many years. The function room was lovely always liked the set up. Toilets were clean enough but could have done with a wee refurbishment. The food I can't comment on as never had any . The staff were very pleasant.
Stayed here last night for a murder mystery evening. Room was spacious and very clean. Staff were amazing nothing was a bother for them. Entertainments manager does an amazing job. Food was delicious and both the chef and the bar staff were polite and very friendly. We will definitely stay here again, would recommend their entertainment evenings.
We didn't stay over but we had my misses brothers funeral tea here yesterday what a brilliant place the kids are so much fun in the soft play what a brilliant idea with the soft play. The staff was amazing very helpful and really nice. Definitely be back to have a meal with the kids and misses they made us all feel comfortable Definitely 5 start from us.
Nice place and clean staff were very friendly and helpful. Had two rooms as we have four kids, the rooms we adjoining. Breakfast was as expected nothing fancy no frills just a good cooked breakfast. No idea if room service is available as never use that type of service. There is a bar within the hotel never had a drink in it as we had the kids got a can of soft drink which was well overpriced. That is my reason for the four star review. Drinks could have been much fairer priced.
Great hotel. Staff seemed nice enough but weren't always available. I didn't feel comfortable going looking for them. The room was massive. Very comfy bed. We went with our kids and they loved it too. Would definitely go back.
Stay here in April and again last night both times were for going to the football. We arrived early and our room was ready so we were able to access our room. They rooms are clean, very spacious and very well stocked with tea etc. The food is great from dinner to breakfast and you get plenty of it. Drinks aren't overly expensive. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be returning here every time we are through for the football.
What an amazing place.we arrived at 1am and greeted by davey the night Porter with a warm welcome. Met the owners at breakfast, what a lovely couple who gave me a brief history of the hotel and the work done to bring it back to life with many feature pieces and a touch of modern. Breakfast was honestly the best I had in many years of traveling and staying in hotels. Traditional Scottish full breakfast was ordered. Square sausage and haggis included. Service from the lady on reception to the chef was flawless. My only regret is I was only there one night, will definitely return. Well done to all .a winning team and I wish you all the best for the future and a merry Christmas Lawrence Route1 express couriers.
We booked the deluxe double room and it was immaculate with a very comfy king size bed, TV, bathroom with shower, kettle with coffee, tea, sugar and milk and 2 comfy chairs. There was plenty of hanging and drawer space for clothes, etc. We had the breakfast too which was very tasty and a pot of a very nice coffee. There was also a choice of cereal and fresh orange or apple juice too. The chef was very attentive without being annoying. My only issue was we only had 1 very small bottle of shower gel and only 2 tea bags but when we asked for more at the front desk the girl apologised and got us more. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Very comfortable and lovely staff.
